About Stable Leadership

Karen Tearney brings over 20 years of experience across corporate, small business, and local government settings in both the UK and Australia. She has led large, geographically dispersed teams for global organisations and supported close-knit, family-run businesses. Throughout her career, she engaged in countless leadership and team development programs—yet it took years to realise her most profound teachers had been waiting quietly in the paddock all along.

Thankfully, horses are patient creatures, and after qualifying as an Equine Facilitated Therapist Karen and her herd are ready to help you feel happier and more fulfilled at work and at home.

Karen trained with Kylie Peters at Groundwork Therapy, a pioneering organisation dedicated to the AIA Invitational Approach™. This unique framework empowers individuals to explore responsibility, relationships, and communication through real-time, experiential learning with immediate feedback.

Where are the workshops held?

Our workshops are held 10 minutes west of Margaret River and 5 minutes from the ocean in the south-west of WA

What should we wear?

We spend much of our time in the paddock, so please wear enclosed shoes. In the summer, you'll need all the usual sun protection gear - wide brimmed hat, long sleeves etc. In the winter, wet weather gear will keep you warm and dry.

Would we still go out to the paddock in the rain?

Absolutely! We'll keep you as dry as we can, but we love the rain, and so do the horses.

Stable Leadership takes you out of the office and into the paddock. It's time to discover how horses can help teams and leaders thrive.

The herd is waiting...

Our Values

We believe in helping people RISE to their potential - as leaders, team members and great humans.

All our programs are grounded in our values:

Resilience

Integrity

Safety

Empathy

Our Vision

We aim to help people feel happier and more fulfilled both at work and at home.

In our busy lives it's easy to lose touch with ourselves and those around us.

Working with horses gives us the opportunity to slow down, be present, and reflect on our how we treat ourselves and others.

Let's work together. Contact us on the details below or complete the form and we'll get straight back to you.
